Tere`s Mexican Grill in Los Angeles

There are two highly rated burrito places in the Mission - La Taqueria and Tere's Mexican Grill. My friend brought me toTere's Mexican Grill during my mot recent excursion to the Bay Area. I think both of them are excellent, in different ways. You just can't go wrong. The salsa at El Farolito was awesome (I wanted to drink it with a straw) and the rice was perfectly seasoned. The burrito was huge - worth the long line and cash only pricing. 10/10 would go again. I'm only going to be sad for a little bit that I no longer live in the Bay Area.

This is the best family owned restaurant to eat in the Los Angeles area! Amazing customer service, amazing food, and a clean place to eat! All of their employees are very friendly, welcoming, and hard working people! The owners are very humble, and very friendly to all of their customers! Fast delivery, nice food!

It may look like a side Mexican restaurant that’s part of a strip mall, but this place houses top quality food with familiar dishes and authentic taste.Best to have cash on you. I got their noodle soup with chicken, comes with short think noodles in a tomato based broth. Probably the best chicken noodle soup I’ve ever had. Served with choice of tortilla, slice of lime and some queso, I was in heaven as I devoured the whole bowl.Their quesadillas are bomb. Their burritos are huge. You can’t go wrong here if you like Mexican food. Their salsas are fresh. I like their pickled carrots that are also spicy. If you want jalapeños or grilled chilies, order that along with your meal.Plenty of seating inside and outside. And free parking out front.

Too little for their price nachos and pork salsa verde was low amount the burrito is good size soup is more soup less vegies in it

Carne Asada was so good. Chips are thick and crispy and eaten with the guacamole was delicious! The sweet server pulled a chair over and put my purse on it from the ground, such a gentleman!

Been coming here for years, one of my favorite spots for Mexican food!

The chips and salsas are delicious. The mole has the right amount of spice. The fish ceviche is perfect for a hot summer day. And the Tere's quesadilla special is my favorite, a most try. Enjoy!😋

Happened upon this place my first day living in LA, and absolutely loved it. I've been back a bunch of times already - amazing food, and really nice staff in a cute restaurant. They also have the big Mexican cokes, which is a bonus, along with homemade tortillas and flan.

Best quesadillas in town! Not so fast but big on friendly and always delicious. Even the beans and rice are excellent! Love Tere’s and will continue to enjoy indefinitely. Highly recommended!

I really wish I had taken pictures of how beautifully appetizing EVERY single dish was (on our table and on every table nearby)! The food tastes even better than it looks. And it looks amazing! The restaurant itself is small and cozy. We had enchiladas and a burrito with the house made chips and salsa. We loved all of it! My boyfriend had just returned from Poland so we were looking for a good, hearty Mexican meal to welcome him back to LA. The food totally satisfied as did the service. Overall wonderful experience!

Best Verde enchiladas i have ever tried hands down! Fresh food, its a bit pricey but, most of the time, you pay for what you get. Thanks for the fresh and great food and for being open for pickup

The menu and service were above our expectations. We really loved the vibes of this restaurant. First-rate spot to take the family out for dinner.

It was decent but I found the food to be quite bland. The salsas weren’t the worst I have had but were not worth the $1.50 charge for the chips. For a $15+ meal I left unimpressed.

Love the guac and the Chile relleno. Prices are a little high for what you get. Horchata was not great.

This spot is famous for its classy interior feature. Well, to prove that I had to go for a visit. I must say it was really well-deserved spot. The entire preparation down to its decor was classic. It was like a concept of ancient Mexican era. This impressive outdoor seating gives a remarkable experience. Yet, the bar section had a very expensive wine.

So yummy classic Mexican chow! Servings are in huge portions and the price is just right!!!

Great food, they take their time making sure your order is correct. Staff is friendly. Outside seating is limited right now and no inside seating. Worth the wait, your mouth will thank you.

I got cheese mole enchiladas and my boyfriend got the nachos. The nachos were amazing! The enchiladas were thicken and fresh - super delicious! The mole sauce was more red and not as chocolatey, but still amazing. Not bad, just different from my understanding of mole. Maybe I’m just white and doesn’t know what mole means! I’ve only ever had mole in Chicago... maybe this is Los Angeles mole... REGARDLESS IS WAS AMAZING! It’s small and quaint. There’s parking in the lot, but it’s small. Very friendly service and fair prices. Delicious food for the price! All tacos on Tuesday are $1.95 so we will probably be back on a Tuesday to check that out. I recommend. Yummy!

When I approached the counter to pick up my online order, I asked the guy at the register if he'd like my order number. He told me the orders were not up yet. I stepped aside and waited. Approx 10-15 minutes later, an unmarked bag was placed on a "to go" table in the restaurant. I assumed they knew who it was for. Nobody spoke to me or anyone in the room about this bag. So I waited. After another 5 minutes, I finally asked a guy bagging orders if he could tell me the status of my order. He took my order number, verified my order, then handed me the unmarked bag from the table. I wonder how long I would have been left standing there had I not asked for an update.

Fantastic Mexican food! Super fresh, tasty and they have the real Mexican sodas too. I especially enjoy the Enchilada Verdes. Open for pickup during COVID19. Great food, a little steep in price but, well worth the money

Good food and service. Prices reflect. Using prime or choice cuts fresh tortillas and chips is always worth a little extra $$ to me.Meat was tender and juicy. Sides were authentic and perfect portions. Will add some pics next time I stop by. Ate my food quick.. first meal of the day and will definitely repeat.

I've been eating at Tere's Mexican grill for years. It's delicious, homemade family-owned Mexican food. Everything I've ever had here has been terrific. It's a very small dining room with a small outdoor seating area, not necessarily a place you'd want to linger, but definitely worth it for the food.

My well-traveled friend recommended this place that I always drive by (and thought nothing of) so we gave it a shot and oh lord, it is delicious. The food is super fresh, tasty, and though the atmosphere is low-key, it is prepared fast. Overall a superb experience, and I’ve been here several times since!

Alot of dishes were very good but also very oily. The red snapper, it has a ton of oil, so if u order lots of apps, be prepared. The oil makes it very tiring to eat the fish. But the fish is really moist inside and crisp on the outside. Its perfect!!!

Amazing Mexican food. Try the Pork en Chile Verde burrito! It rides the line of amazing flavor and spicy at the same time. Also, hands down the best chips in LA.Highly recommend this place.Also, great for catering.And if you can't make it to this location, they have a new one in Studio City now!

Real deal. So tasty, they have a small stand with ice for sauces and lime.
